Woman of the Week – Natasha Singh
Name… Natasha Singh
Passion… Interior design, antiquing, DIY projects, thrifting and travel. On any given day you can find me designing a window display, repurposing antiques or cutting something up and putting it back together giving it new life.
9 to 5… Past: Accessory Buyer for Le Chateau, Product Developer for Aldo Accessories Account Executive at Diesel. Present: Entrepreneur and Pop-up Shop Curator. I’ll always be a jack of all trades but have finally found my path to master one.
Shameless plug… The next installment of my pop-up shop, Walk-In Closet, will be from May 2-4th at Milk Glass Studio – 1247 Dundas Street Toronto Ontario. For more info go to www.singhnature.com
You can also find me on Twitter and Instagram: @miss_singh
Favourite heel… My green Kurt Gelger heels I bought in 2009 at Gatwick air port in London England. Best impulse purchase of my life to date. It’s been my in case of emergency heel. I love it because it can take me from day to night, summer to fall and has vintage flare combined with modern day edge.
Home is... Toronto by way of Brantford Ontario – home of the telephone and Wayne Gretzky FYI! I also spent the early years of my fashion career in Montreal which has become a home away from home.
I overcome a ¨broken heel¨ by… Turning a negative into a positive, taking risks and going after what I want.In the literal sense – buying a new pair that’s more fierce than the last.
I confess I am… I’m really silly and a child at heart. I’m also a Kardashian fan and follow ALL OF THEM on Instagram. Don’t judge me.
If I had one wish… I’d have the ability to teleport to any where in the world at any time
Beauty is… life…
I absolutely love… That I come from a large and open minded family that is accepting of all cultural and religious backgrounds.
My role models are… My parents. They are the hardest working people I know. If it weren’t for them I wouldn’t have the work ethic I have today.
I want to be remembered for… Connecting amazing people with amazing people through my work.
You make a difference by… I always encourage and remind people that you don’t need to break the bank in order to look good whether it be your fashion or home sense.
Last words… RECYCLE, REUSE, REINVENT!
